Potty Training & Puppy Treats

Hello all!
I've been working really hard lately on finding new recipes for my dog treats and potty training Finnley. My first dog I had was so quick to potty train. Finnley on the other hand, is slighty more challenging. He's quite the bundle of energy. He sleeps a ton though (Nice break for me).  I see him growing inches every day :P Ok ok maybe not inches, but he sure is growing fast. He's such a fast little fella. It's so hard to get a non blurry picture of him while he's awake. Since he is getting ornerier by the minute, I've had to start putting him on a leash. Boy does he hate that. Sometimes he forgets he is on it, but other times he will wrestle it to the death. This can take hours, if I let him. He finally has gotten to the point where he knows how to get up the stairs to the deck. Going down however, is a different story.

It's been rather chilly and rainy here in Illinois lately and I haven't had the chance to break out the puppy pool. I'd really like to get Finnley accustomed to the water. I love swimming and hanging out in water every chance I get, so I'd love to get him to love it too. Got any fun puppy swimming stories/pictures? We'd love to see them!

Today I attempted some carob chip cookies. I think I added a little too much flour, because they were way too dry. I'm going to attempt another recipe for carob chip cookies tomorrow.  I also plan to ice more cookies to take pictures of. It's been a rather slow start to my shop because I'm fresh out of college a.k.a broke. I work a part time job, but don't get nearly enough hours to pay bills. I'm dreading the full time job, so I decided to start a hobby! Dog treat designing! Hurrrayyy! My baby corgi really inspired me to use my artistic degree and creativity to make him delicious treats, and why not share the love with other doggies!

Any who,

I really should be off to bed. Finnley wakes me up rather early. Send me pictures of your summery pups! I'd love to see some summery pictures, since it feels nothing like summer here at all.

It was raining outside today, so Finnley caught himself a crocodile inside ( for all you Jersey Shore fans.... a crocadilly).

Too-da-loo!  Bark BARK!

TGIF

Happy Friday!!

What a better way to celebrate a Friday, than to put new items in my shop? I'm so excited to start my business on Etsy. I've been looking for new dog treat recipes to make. Are there any recipes you may know of that you'd like to see me make? I try to find recipes that don't require refrigeration. I currently have a few to try, so I'll be sure to let you know what kind I'll be making. I really enjoy learning how to make yummy treats for such special friends. I still have a long way to go on my shop and it's very new at the moment. I appreciate everyone being so patient.

One thing I'd like to know from you is what kind of stuff would you like to read here in my blog? I talk about my little corgi, I plan to talk about new and up coming treats. Eventually I would like to have a give away. Let me hear your thoughts!

My dog Finnley is growing like a weed! He's super adorable and very ornery. I love him though. I'll leave you with a picture until next time.
Happy weekend!

Dog Treat Update

I've been working on making treats to take pictures for my etsy! The cookies turned out so cute :) I just have to ice them now and all will be grand! I have cacti, "chocolate" covered strawberries, margaritas w/ limes, dog bones, tye dye, and much more! I can't wait to reveal them!

As for my new puppy, we finally gave him a name. His name is Finnley, "Fin" for short. When we got him one ear was sticking straight up like a shark fin. Also, the name means "fair warrior" or "fair-haired courageous one." He is a very brave puppy with really soft fur, sooooo voila! Finnley.

He went to the vet today and he said he was a healthy pup! He's starting to get really comfortable with his new home and becoming quite ornery. He's a fast lil' guy but is really snuggly when he is all worn out.

It's really hard for me to get a picture of him when he's awake because he's always running around, but he sure is cute when he is sleeping :)

Have a good afternoon

I'm a new mommy!

I just became a 1st time corgi mommy. He's the sweetest little guy! I can't wait to see him grow. Today he zonked out on a doughnut, and I thought how appropriate since he is my inspiration for my new bakery business. Please stay tuned for my store and such. With a new little guy I'm pretty preoccupied at the moment. Any name ideas out there? I was thinking Ozzy... :)
